Unhealthy and Abusive
Relationships
If you are being abused deal with the problem immediately by:
Telling your date you are going to leave unless he or she gets help.
Talk to someone you can trust.
Breaking off the relationship if your date continues to be abusive.
If your friend is being abused:
Be supportive and listen to what they have to say.
Tell your friend that he or she does not deserve the abuse.
Offer to go with your friend to get help.
Be patient; it can take time for your friend to make changes.
If you are abusing:
Don't wait until you hurt someone you love.
Find a counselor to talk to with who can help you with the problem.
Remember abuse is a learned behavior and you can change it.
If your friend is abusing someone:
Tell your friend his/her behavior is wrong.
Offer to go with your friend to a counselor who can help with the problem.

Trust yourself and your inner instincts.
Be respected as a person.
Change your mind.

Not to be physically, emotionally or sexually abused.
Stay away from someone who makes you feel bad.
