Ecstasy


What is ecstasy?

  • Ecstasy is a hallucinogen related to amphetamine. It also has stimulant properties. It is a chemical made in drug labs.
  • Ecstasy is also called E, XTC, Adam, Euphoria, X, MDM and Love Doves.
  • It usually comes in gelatin capsules or tablets. They can be any color and mat have a design on each side. It can also come as a powder.

Effects...

  • The effects of ecstasy can be felt 20-40 minutes after taking it.
  • The high usually lasts between 4-6 hours.
  • Users report loving ,trusting and warm feelings toward others. Also makes sensations stronger.
  • It can also cause jaw clenching, teeth grinding, anxiety or panic attacks.
  • It may cause depression, irritability, forgetfulness, exhaustion and paranoia.
  • Long term use may cause permanent chemical changes in the brain.
  • Can cause liver damage.

Ecstasy and addiction

  • Using drugs can become more important than family or your job.
  • People who use drugs can develop serious personal problems.
  • Regular use can lead to needing larger amounts to feel the same effects.
  • Many people do not know how to help themselves once they have a problem with drugs. Do not be afraid to Ask for help.
